Home Visits

Strengthening School-Home Connections
At HSA Davenport, we believe that strong relationships between schools, families, and communities are essential to student success. Our Home Visit Program will provide a unique opportunity for our staff members to directly engage with families and develop a deeper sense of trust and understanding with one another.
What is the Home Visit Program?
Each year, a selected group of students and their families will receive a home visit from our dedicated school staff. These visits will be designed to:

Show our commitment to students and their families

Share valuable school updates and resources

Strengthen family-school partnerships for academic success

Why Home Visits Matter
Schools within Concept Schools’ network have found that home visits are one of the most effective ways to build stronger relationships with students and their families. Studies show that students who received at least one home visit scored 5% higher on standardized tests and 7% higher with two or more visits compared to those with none. By creating a welcoming partnership, students feel supported both at home and in school.
Family Engagement and Participation
HSA Davenport encourages its families to participate in the Home Visit Program given the benefits for its students, their families, and our school. However, parents/guardians can opt to not receive a home visit if they choose.
There are multiple ways in which HSA Davenport gets parents/guardians involved with the school. They can participate in educational projects (like our science fair), various competitions (e.g. our robotics club), national and international trips, educational camps, school events, and all other school-related activities throughout the year.
Together, we create a supportive learning environment where every student thrives both in and out of the classroom.
