Michael S. Adams, Jr. is a legal and compliance professional with experience in data privacy, intellectual property, and commercial law. A proud native of Atlanta, Georgia, Michael earned his Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Hampton University, where he served as Class President and was elected the 17th Mister Hampton University. He went on to earn his Juris Doctor from the Southern University Law Center, where he also co-founded and served as Executive Editor of the Journal of International Law, Business, and Policy, a publication dedicated to advancing thought leadership at the intersection of global commerce and legal innovation. In 2022, he was nationally recognized as a Thurgood Marshall College Fund Scholar.

Michael began his legal career at Deere & Company in the Commercial Law and Trademark Enforcement groups, where he supported brand protection efforts and negotiated multi-million dollar agreements aligned with the company’s strategic objectives. He later transitioned into Data Privacy Compliance, where he currently leads initiatives focused on protecting sensitive data and ensuring regulatory alignment across global operations.

Outside of his professional responsibilities, Michael is a passionate public speaker and a dedicated advocate for education and property rights. He frequently visits schools to speak with students about the importance of academic achievement and personal growth. Inspired by his mother, a public school teacher for over 30 years, Michael has made it a personal mission to uplift underserved communities through education. He also champions awareness around heirs property, working to educate families on the legal tools necessary to protect generational land ownership and prevent displacement.

His advocacy and outreach efforts have earned national recognition, with features on The Today Show, CNN, Fox News, and various local publications. Michael is also a proud member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. by way of the Gamma Iota Chapter at Hampton University, where he continues to uphold the fraternity’s values of scholarship, leadership, and service.
